Objective

We want everyone to be able to use Edkimo’s digital services independently, without undue difficulty and, in principle, without the need for assistance from others.

Digital accessibility is therefore an integral part of the development and quality assurance of our products. Our digital services are continuously tested for accessibility and further developed.

Legal Basis and Standard

The Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) has been in force in Germany since 28 June 2025. It transposes the European Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services (European Accessibility Act) into German law.

We provide this information in accordance with Section 14(1)(2) in conjunction with Annex 3 of the BFSG as a service provider.

When designing and testing our digital offerings, we adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Conformity Level AA, as well as the requirements of the harmonised standard EN 301 549.

This statement and the information contained therein apply to:

  • the browser-based Edkimo app
  • Edkimo’s mobile applications for iOS and Android

1. Website

The edkimo.com website is aimed at a variety of target groups:

  • Visitors can find out about Edkimo’s services.
  • Users can register with and log in to Edkimo.
  • Participants can take part in surveys or view results via the website.

To the best of our knowledge, the website complies with the requirements of WCAG 2.2, Conformity Level AA, as well as the requirements of the harmonised standard EN 301 549.

2. App for participants

With the Edkimo app, participants can take part in digital surveys and submit their responses. It can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones.

To the best of our knowledge, the browser-based application and the mobile apps for iOS and Android comply with the requirements of WCAG 2.2, Conformity Level AA, as well as the requirements of the harmonised standard EN 301 549.

3. App for users

With Edkimo, users can create their own questionnaires, conduct surveys, analyse results and share and discuss them with participants.

To the best of our knowledge, the features of the Edkimo app provided for this purpose comply with the requirements of WCAG 2.2, Conformity Level AA, as well as the requirements of the harmonised standard EN 301 549.

4. Accessibility of the service

Edkimo’s digital services are designed so that information and functions are perceivable, operable, understandable and robustly accessible.

During development and quality assurance, we pay particular attention to:

  • Keyboard operability
  • Compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies
  • Sufficient contrast and visual perceptibility
  • Semantic structure and comprehensible labelling
  • Comprehensible and consistent user flows
  • Alternative text for relevant non-textual content
  • Focus navigation and visible focus indicators
  • Responsive design across different screen sizes
  • Accessible forms and error messages

Compliance is verified through automated tests, technical checks and tests using assistive technologies.

5. Review and updating

This accessibility statement was originally created on 25 March 2024 and last updated on 21 September 2026.

The last digital accessibility review was carried out on 16 September 2026. The review found that, to the best of our knowledge, the website, the app for participants and the app for users comply with the requirements of WCAG 2.2, Conformity Level AA, as well as the requirements of the harmonised standard EN 301 549.
